Master Ventures is a blockchain-focused Venture Studio that is building the next generation of infrastructure companies that will drive blockchain adoption. A major challenge in the blockchain space is finding the right tactical entrepreneurship that can bring about the change and innovation that blockchain holds the promise to deliver. Master Venture’s internal talent pool brings a wealth of experience as founders, investors, and operators within the blockchain space, with many members active in the blockchain space as early as 2012. The venture has successfully built early-stage blockchain projects, accelerated over a dozen blockchain protocols, and deployed and diversified ideas across over 50 blockchain projects.
Master Ventures follows a two-pronged approach when supporting ideas and bringing about blockchain-based transformation.
First, things get rolling with an idea. MV Labs co-creates disruptive blockchain companies with founders, startups, and enterprises from around the globe to help scale up promising ideas.
Next comes radical transformation by deploying human and financial capital with leading startups that align with the MV vision.
Some of the steps involved along the way include:
- Strategy alignment based on the team’s thesis for innovation and portfolio management requirements.
- Ideation via brainstorming, hackathons, and customer requests/feedback.
- Exploration involving business modeling, traction modeling, and customer/problem fit.
- Post-selection validation of the solution and the development of an MVP.
- Product and market fit validation via the MVP launch, along with business model refinement and business model optimization.
- Ongoing scaling and growth via operations integrations and business model growth.
MV has successfully spun out several projects, including:
- The Crypto Exchange Alliance (CEA), the first liquidity 2.0 solution for digital asset exchanges that provides exchanges with deep liquid order books at zero cost, instantly, with no counterparty risk.
- The House of Dao, a blockchain startup village based at a top digital nomad and wellness destination.
- The Paid Network, the first borderless civil legal system powered by DeFi on the Polkadot network that ensures you get paid.
Master Ventures is spearheaded by Kyle Chassé, a phenomenally successful serial entrepreneur who created the world’s first global lottery based on Bitcoin in 2013 and was an early investor in Pundi X, Bitstamp, Kraken, Shapeshift, Coinpayments, and many other projects that are recognized leaders in the crypto space. Mr. Chassé builds out blockchain infrastructure projects and brings legitimacy to blockchain projects and focuses on addressing some of the biggest problems facing the decentralized finance world, such as a lack of exchange liquidity and transparency and the need for better sustainability.
